His comeback from injury in the last month or so hasn't been talked about too much so how highly do you rate him?

I think he's pure class. His touch, vision and skill on the ball is a joy to watch and whilst a lot of young English players are ridiculousy hyped up, he looks like he could be one of the best players in Europe in the next few years.

Players like Wilshere and Allen prove that there is nothing inherent in British genes that makes their footballers technically inferior to the Spaniards or Brazilians or incapable of playing a possession-based game. It's all the about the coaching and the various prejudices and biases at every level of football education system. In Argentina every coach is on a lookout for a new Maradona. In England, they are looking for a new John Terry.

Fantastic footballer, as you say will go on to become one of the best midfielders in Europe over the next years

Barring any major disruptions due to injuries, he has the potential to be among the best midfielders in the world in a couple of years. If Arsenal stay the same way, I think he will go to Barcelona and join Fabregas.

Great talent but it's blunted a little because he has a volatile temperament just begging to be exploited, and he is often injured.

He's one of the best young British players of the last 20 years.

He'll be a truly sublime footballer.

A bit over the top that. Walcott has done more at the same age. I'd have Walcott ahead of him. Fuck it, Sterling is better than that Wilshere kid.

haha

Wilshere hasn't hit the heights he had pre-injury yet but that's understandable, he's a great little player - passing, moving, vision, always busy, can tackle and got a bit of a cuntish streak. Good combination.

Shame for the wenger boys that he's made out of bread sticks.

Just fucking compare both of their stats and come back kneel down and show respect to The Lying Rag King of This Joint.

One's a forward, the other's a holding midfielder - what stats would you like me to compare you cockjockey?

Oh dear! Wilshere started of as an attacking midfielder and winger. He was then asked to play as DM, more to box-to-box midfielder ala Gerrard.

In current situation i'd have Walcott ahead of him. Now, sit down you little vermin.

Does anyone else on this site have knowledge of Jack Wilshere as a winger?

Actually, why am I fucking bothering with this.

Not winger, wengers played Ramsey there though

Wouldn't say he's a holding midfielder though

Yeah, he's certainly got the talent.

He's no better than Rooney at the same age though - in fact, I don't think he's quite as good.

Will be interesting to see whether he suffers the same fate of thinking he's made it and not looking after himself the way he should.

Rooney's a sensational footballer but he hasn't kicked on the way he should have in the last 4 years; i think a fair bit of that is down to diet and training - probably because he listened to what the media were telling him and everyone else on the planet.

That and some thick twat taught him how to count the numbers on his bank statement and then he asked himself why the hell he needed to train hard?
