He'd be ideal for us, a goalscorer and we get to have a free loan punt on him.

Mind you we'd need to be a whole lot better at getting the ball forward quickly to give him opportunities.

Bent on loan? I still can't understand the logic of us signing a striker and moving Suarez wide, it's complete madness. Anyway, we'll sign someone in January, we're hardly going to come out and say, We've got a shit load of cash, charge us the earth teams!

I know what would be better for the doooooooom mongers. Why doesn't the club advertise exactly how much we've got to spend, and help our negotiating for new players greatly. Instead of saying every year, we've got fck all and can't afford anything.

We cant Afford anything.. that's just it..

To buy, more than likely we will have to sell..

Re Bent imho probably paper talk. Don't see how he would fit in to Rogers system..

But if true, it shows we are holding out for the Caroll Monies before committing to buy..

They describe themselves as sports investors. What more do you need to know? Their shareholders could sue them if they willfully failed to make money by spending money on players.

Rodgers was just on talk sport saying we'd spend we'd sign some players and maybe look into a loan or two as well, so we'll be doing both.

They'd be investing the profits into growing the company, so they'd have no legs to stand on.

BR said on talksport, he expects a couple of loan players in.

Bent fits that mould.

Though I suspect, this window will be another where we will be trying to keep players from other clubs like city/chelsea.

I'll be very @rsed if we don't bring more firepower in though. We can't keep relying on Suarez alone. This does NOT mean moving him out wide - it means giving him more support in front of goal, and having an option if he's unavailable for any reason.

Someone like Walcott.

Rumours one of those players in Pohjanpalo. Interest in Walcott and Huntelaar is real but so is the understanding other CL clubs are interested.

I imagine Rodgers is just trying to manage expectations. I certainly hope we don't end up with three or more players who are only here on loan - if a couple join Sahin and are expected to justify being on loan by figuring often in the team, it won't exactly contribute to developing a settled side. We could end up next summer no stronger than last summer.

I think we will find that we will buy one or 2 and probably loan 1 or 2... Why the big hoo har about not having money?

I think we need to get behind our owners because for one thing at least they are trying to put us on an even keel not bankrupt us like the last lot... 2 they seem to have moved forward with stadium and look like they actually mean business rather than some glorified design which was never going to happen under Gillet & Hicks. 3 they are trying to transform us into a youthful team, which can only be good in the long run with the way football is going, and also means not overpaying wages (look at Arsenal blueprint)

If you would rather be the Man City's or Chelsea's of this world rather than a well run Football Club then I really dont know what has happened to Liverpool supporters?
