We have the league's top striker playing for us in almost every match, who's hardly been injured and arguably our best and most energetic performer. As much as it's been fussed about the worry of not having more than a recognized striker in Suarez, we continue to have a world class striker playing for us week in week out.

I don't think Brendan can safely say it's 'cos he couldn't get another striker in, that the team has been suffering this season. So far 3/4 of our goals have been scored by a striker !

well i think it's more that we need players in the attacking wide positions who can contribute goals also . For all Sterling's positives at some stage we'll need him to start contributing some goals also , same with whoever plays on the other side and in the attacking midfield role (although to me it doesn't look like we play with an attacking central midfielder ) .

But we also need another striker who can replace suarez if injured and also to give us other tactical options . So the reality is we probably need 2 or 3 attacking signings who can score goals , Sterling to add some goals to his game and Borini to not still be shite when he's back from injury .

Own Goal has scored 3 times as many goals for us this season as our 2nd top goalscorer.

Shelvey!

He can score against the best dross in Europe so he should score against the average dross in england

Imagine Andy Carroll was still here chipping in with his one goal every ten games or so, sparking mass hysteria and nostalgic talk about that time he was "a beast against us" several years ago
