His had two seasons where he hasn't been available through injury. Should we take 3rd season risk on him, or just sell him?
Keep him as 3rd choice. Sell Origi and Sturridge. Buy someone good. Which leaves us with
First choice options:
Firmino
New signing
Second choice emergency options
Woodburn
Ings
Good enough for me
I think that is a bit thin Squad for all the games we might end up with.
Considering only one of them will play per game in our 4-3-3 system, I think its fine.
If Klopp however decides that a 4-3-1-2 as per the last 2 games is the way forward then it might be thin. Although we could just play Mane upfront - he might be even better in a front 2.
Who the fuck is this 'Ings' I see you all talk about?
Rosco is going to give you a pair of ACLs for that topic title.
I'd change it to "Is Ings dry or will he still flow?"
I thought he was running now ? If that's the case, and I haven't mis-remembered, he'll have the same pre-season as everyone else and should be fit and raring to go from Day 1.I think we shouldn't / can't factor Ings into our first team plans for the first half of the season - at least not for the league and CL. I think our target should be to get him fit and ready for the second half of the season. He'll be fresh and raring to go then, and it'd feel like we got a new signing in the winter transfer window. Hopefully it goes that way anyway.
