In response to Mourinho...

Was just about to post this - really good from Dyche.

To summarise for those who CBA to watch for 10 mins.
  • He goes through each of Mourinho's key incidents
    • A clash in the air with Ivanovic - he points out it was just an innocent clash, maybe a yellow for clumsiness but a general non event
    • A shoulder charge with Costa in the box - highlights that Costa is a big man and shouldn't be falling down under a gentle nudge unless it is because he is off balance from his run. Would understand it being given but understands it not being given.
    • Matic incident
      • 1. That Barnes was actually playing a pass so it being referred to as a 'horror tackle' is inaccurate
      • 2. Shows the lack of reaction from all involved in real time including the likes of Terry, Zouma, Ivanovic and Mourinho who are all known to react to foul play. Ivanovic was appealing for a throw in whilst the rest of the defence were trying to set up for the throw whilst Matic was on the floor
    • He then highlights a bit at the end where Burnley put the ball out of play next to their own box due to an injury and whilst Burnley have 10 men on the pitch due to that injury Chelsea use the throw to try and attack from. "That isn't the etiquette"
In a way I wouldnt like managers to get in the habit of doing this as it could get real boring but when its against Mourinho the whiney bellend I want to see more of it!

The tackle was a leg breaker, both of his feet were off the ground when he made the challenge.

The arse licking Jose got on Goals on Sunday was cringeworthy though.

Mourinho is a massive cunt, quickly turning into a dribbling cretin who spouts nothing but bile and shite. The worst thing to happen to English football since that Russian criminal bought that stinking club.

No one is going to read a new thread that just has
'This should have been posted in a new thread' posted in it Rosco.
Its not very interesting.

It wasnt a tackle... he passed the ball.. it was his follow through that got Matic on the leg. Yes it had potential to be horrific for Matic but it was the result of Matic trying to block a pass rather than Barnes going in heavy on a 50/50.

That's wrong as it is the Burnley player who is passing he ball and Matic trying to make the tackle...

If that hendo's leg and not matic, I doubt you would be so forgiving.

Yeah, it's a horrendous challenge, no doubt about it. Trying to figure intent is difficult, but as you say, if that had been on a Liverpool player I would be furious. However, I'd find Mourinho's outrage more believable if it wasn't so full of crap. Anyone remember his reaction when Essien tried to snap Didi's leg in two?

Or last year when mikel snapped artetas shin pad?

It's a man's game he said

Agreed, on the goals on Sunday interview he said Chelsea had only benefited from one decision going their way this season which is utter nonsense. Cahill alone had 2/3 decsions go his way.

I am with @Ross on this...

Rule of the thumb..

If you think a topic is worth discussion, please start a new thread..

Given its current news, it is well worthy of a new thread..

If its just random stuff... stick it in the random thread..

(I can see this random thread getting locked otherwise)

I find it hard to agree with his assessment of the Matic incident - is it normal for players to pass the ball with such a sweeping motion that their leg goes up like that?

Here is a picture of the incident next to a picture of Matic passing a ball.

That was a ridiculous tackle, no matter how cringeworthy Mourinho has been, Dyche is deluded if he thinks if he can defend that particular challenge.

After viewing it again, and hearing what Dyche has to say about the challenge, I agree, he has just passed the ball, Matic comes in late to try and stop the pass and gets caught by the swing of the leg, its nasty looking but their player hasn't tried to make a challenge.

I think he's actually providing a calm, measured counterpoint to the wailing, hyperbolic, faux-outrage that Jose is peddling. Dyche may be wrong in defending it, but he's showing you can discuss these things in a non Sky Sports way.

But it still wouldn't have been a bad tackle as it wasn't a tackle in the first place....Stop falling for Mourinho's bollocks.

Oh and of course if that was on any of our players I would be asking for a life sentence but I am a football fan so I am allowed to be a contradictory.

So if we think a topic is worthy of a thread we should start a new thread?

Thanks for clearing that up Jono.

Hang on, what if it's something random?

It wasn't a tackle...
Ok, challenge or whatever it was, to me looks like Barnes left something in there and if it wasn't statstically dirtiest player in the league then might have given him benefit of the doubt. But yes, not as bad mourinho has made out to be...
