Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers eyeing summer swoop for Borussia Dortmund star

LIVERPOOL could be set to snap up Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile in the summer.

The Italian ace has struggled in the Bundesliga following his move from Torino last year.
The 24-year-old has netted seven goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp's struggling side.
And reports from Germany suggest Dortmund will look to cut their losses on the £15m striker and force him out of the club in the summer.


Liverpool are also set for a revamp of their attacking options, with reports from the north west indicating Kop chief Brendan Rodgers is planning on axing Fabio Borini, Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert if buyers for the trio can be found.
Immobile was wanted by Rodgers last summer as he scoured the market for a replacement for Luis Suarez.
And according to Sport Bild, the Liverpool boss will make a second attempt to land the Italy international when the transfer window reopens.
