Would you take the ignominy of only being just the sub when the Stoke City manager swaps out his team for the Cup competition just to earn a tiny additional percentage on your considerable bank balance.

Or would you prefer to point to your massive achievements at Liverpool, Real Madrid and (deep intake of breath) Man Utd and call it a day?

Why the fuck doesn't he just accept he is way below EPL standard and retire with grace. To my mind this is his last chance. If he continues beyond this 'window' he will be synonymous with money grabbing to all fans, not just ours.

Deep down most players just love the game and want to play at top level as long as its physically possible.
Can you imagine how many players pissed their careers away and today regret that they didn't take care of themselves better in order to continue playing at top level.

IMO I don't think Owen plays football to make money any more. He does all that horse stuff and gambling stuff to make money.
I think he thinks he can still contribute football wise. That's debatable, most/all on here would disagree.
His agent approached the Perth Glory here a few weeks back but they weren't interested.
