If there was a choice of just one trophy for LFC

The special commemorative trophy they hand out when you’ve won ab-so-fucking-lutely everything you can win in one season.

The League, for sure.

But we’ve already won all we’re going to win this season.

Jurgen Klopp may have won his most important trophy yet at Liverpool

Even for Jurgen Klopp, the manager of what must now be considered the best Liverpool side since at least the 1980s, this was the breaking of new ground at Wembley.
This competition started, unashamedly, as the lowest priority when the action got underway way back in September, and while this record-setting triumph now takes them one clear of Manchester City, the club's ninth League Cup may yet be remembered in the wider context of a far, far grander achievement.
Because while this is the first time that Klopp's Liverpool have been able to physically lift silverware in front of their own fans on domestic soil, this could simply be the one that gets the ball rolling on the most incredible period ever at Liverpool FC.
That is not a statement that is uttered lightly, either.
How good must it feel to know that all of this Wembley colour and cheer could merely be the glorious prelude to the most sensational conclusion of any season of any era at Anfield?

I’m going to give the most Man City / fumesque answer possible.

The PL as long as City don’t win the champions league, otherwise I’d take the CL just to block them. Sorry I just enjoy it being the one thing they haven’t been able to buy.

If we win the league and Citeh won the Champions league everyone would be too busy talking about the fact that Utd don't hold even a share of the record anymore and the fact that we overhauled their lead to even notice their achievement.

Fortunately, we have no choice in the matter. We have to win the next match otherwise you may end up with zilch!

Won't we be tied on 20 with Utd if we win it this year?

It's a massive showdown with City. League,FA cup, Champions league. Firstly we have a chance in the league to get the drop on them. If we can take them down in their own backyard it will be advantage LFC. Losing TAA is a blow but we go their full of confidence and out of the 3 comps the League is the one I want to win so City have to be taken down 10th April......0-1...Ali saves a Penalty.

it feels in some ways as though the next 2 months will define the whole Klopp v Pep, Liverpool v City era of the last 5 years. It is a rivalry of two great managers even if they are not operating on a level playing field.
