Manager Alan Pardew reveals he has spoken to Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers for advice on Newcastle's Europa League opponents Anzhi Makhachkala.

Liverpool beat the Russian side 1-0 at home earlier in the competition but Pardew says the visitors have "outstanding" players and sees manager Guus Hiddink as "one of the best".

Following a goalless draw in the first leg, Newcastle will progress to the last eight with a win at St James' Park.
