I heart Raheem

He is really using what strength he does have, well. His tracking back today to nick the ball off Mata was the difference between him and Chelsea expensive creative trio and his ability to hold off players and trick his way along their frontline almost won the game for us at the death.

He's been the bright spark of this season (along with Luis) and I hope he stays here for a long, long time.

His strength surprises me, doesn't get pushed off the ball easily at all, its very impressive.

On a side note, what worries me is these random little 'incidents' he gets involved in.

I love those little incidents - it's the 'spike' in his on-field persona, a la keane, suarez, vierra and so on.

He is much stronger than he looks, isn't he?

When you see him tracking back and trying to get a foot in you're thinking "Haha, nice effort, but you're gonna fall on your ar . . . oh, he got the ball back, oh well in son!"

There was a lovely little bit today where he was breaking from deep, two players closed him down, and he just sort of shaped his body one way before going the other and ghosting past them. Not particularly spectacular, but great to watch

The end product will come.

When Ronaldo first appeared in a UTD shirt he had no end product for almost 2 years then he exploded.

Sad news about the Domestic incident. Hopefully it was something minor like neighbours heard a shouting match.

I'm bracing myself for when he turns 18 and the club lets him start doing interviews and dealing with all that publicity. I hope he'll take all of that with a pinch of salt but you never quite know. Once he comes through that the future ought to be fantastic.

As long he beats more men on the pitch than women off it me and Raheem are cool.

Spion - like you'd have a choice

You know what really puzzles me is how Rafa managed to sign him for a few million when he'd lost the plot.

It's a total fucking mystery.

*yawn*

We all know you proper love Rafa, you don't need to bring him up every time you get a chance mate

Well the word at the time were him and Shelvey were players Kenny insisted we sign, and both were signed after Kenny arrived.

It's backed up by the fact we had no Uk based scouts under Rafa.

He's been very very impressive so far. We are extremely lucky to have him.

Copes amazingly well with the pressure and expectations too it seems. And he's a father of two.

This kid clearly amazes me on several different levels.

Maybe Rafa should have listened more to Kenny then and concentrated on signing youth players.
Listening to Macia resulted in 1 - one - first team player still being here from his last 4 transfer windows.
Lost it? Pretty much.

It comes as no surprise to me I told everyone he had what it takes over two years ago, and to be honest I am usually very conservative over our youth stars.

regards

Just under a month until he's 18, so we should hopefully have this all sorted before the years up.

Cracking little player.

It's like a breath of fresh air watching him and how comfortable he is on the ball. He makes beating players look so easy. He's pretty smart for his age too, he manages to be effective whatever part of the pitch he's in.

If he adds some more goals to his game he'll be a monster

I know it's silly to say it but I just saw that Messi is now the fastest to score 75 goals, faster than Pele and I got to thinking I moved out to Spain in 2004 just as he was arriving on the scene and although he was always going to be a player he developed and got better and better until now he is the legend he is, at more or less the same time madrid were buying Robinho etc so there is no guarantee but.... Ronaldo wasn't all that in his first season at the Mancs was he.....

Some flashes of play from our Sterling have been truly mouthwatering, nothing with end product yet but he's very quick got good feet can dribble and is very lively generally, gets stuck in too... i think hes already having a positive impact on us .... yeah.... you could say im optimistic... i really hope weve got good coaches around him and he grows into a monster of a player.

he is an amazing talent

Beware Chelsea, UTD and Man City with the cheque books offering more than his rumoured £50K a week 🙁

I wonder how much it would take to turn his head. You'd like to think he's another Gerrard but they're few and far between 🙁
