Well, I'm sure there have been plenty of career ending injuries. But I really can't think of anything more gruesome looking than this.

Horrifying is probably a better word.

I got to the break in the first vid and all I could do was shrilly cry "OW! OW! OOOOWWWW! OWOWOWOWOW!"

I once played in a game in which someone broke his ankle. I was playing left fullback and it was the opposition's left winger who suffered the break, so he was right over the other side of the pitch, but the sound of it was clear as day, a crack like a gun going off. Eurrgh.
