PAOK fan accused of dumping crate of fish on Olympiakos bench

Police in Thessaloniki have arrested a PAOK fan accused of dumping a crate of fish on the visiting Olympiakos bench.
A 34-year-old man covered the bench in several kilograms of anchovies in a stunt that delayed a tense Greek Cup semi-final for more than an hour.

Olympiakos's home ground is in the port of Piraeus, and the club's supporters are nicknamed 'anchovies'.
PAOK won 1-0 on Wednesday but the game was repeatedly halted by brawls on the pitch and three players were sent off.

That's insane.

Haven't seen any in the league for a while now, seems the introduction of sniffer dogs was enough to sort it.

The last thing away fans want is the dogs there cos some are trained for both drugs & explosives, so they lose their beak.

That's not a stadium.

It's a cauldron.

I wouldn't do that in Anfield though. Hillsborough should've taught us something.
I mean, how easy does plastic catch fire ?

I don't think the noise factor will make much difference against Chelsea. Last time we faced them in such a big game was I think in the quarters/semi-finals of the CL and Avram Grant was their manager. We had a good atmosphere but they still won 1-3 at our ground so makes no difference, they of all teams will be well prepared for what awaits them this Sunday.

We should do the opposite as they seem to play very poorly when the ground is quiet...exhibit A: at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

I remember a lad in school walking about all day showing everybody a green flare/smoke bomb thing he had for a match in Windsor Park, he had it lit for about 3 seconds before a steward took it off him and put it in a bucket of water. Hilarious anticlimax.

If the atmosphere is half of what it was against them in 2005 champions league it'd be amazing

Just saying that's all. Not saying we should not raise the noise levels - I just do not expect it to affect the Chelsea players.
