I don't see anything.

Maybe he's referring to the "I see you, you see me" thing Bobby and the other guy are doing.

In fairness, our players didn't have much of a clue last season under the guidance of "tactical genius" Rafael Benitez.

We can remove the manager easily enough, but we're still going to a club in a financial mess with a weak, overpaid and overrated squad.

The shitness of the squad is a more pressing concern than any managerial appointment, IMO.

I don't think that's true to be honest.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with Squiggles, that just look at the paper. Its fucking oxymoronic:
He asks the front players to stay together. And for Maxi and Dirk to cut in from out wide (how ridiculous is that alone, like they need to do more of that). Those two combined make it almost impossible for a team to do the other task which is to use the space to the side of the Centre Backs. Unless you are giving that responsibility to Paul (why? he's shit up there) and Glenn alone. But that leaves our CBs to get outmatched especially with Soto's lack of pace. The visual picture I am getting from those tactics is:

Soto Skrtel

Raul Lucas
Glenn Konch

Kuyt Maxi

N'gog Torres

Its all very weird and as always with our team has no quality width besides GJ.

The only thing that isn't worrying with that sheet to have 3 men in the box on crosses.

In truth I doubt that is his sheet, or at least I hope it isn't.

Me neither but we REALLY need a replacement for Masher.

How do you organize having 3 men in the box for crosses? I often find it hard to know whether there's going to be a cross or not. Does he mean we shoud have 3 men in the box whenever we get possession out wide? And whose responsibility is that? Does the 'crosser' have to wait until the three are all in there? And who are the three? Is it a wide player joining the front 2 or a central midfielder joining the attack? Does that mean one of the strikers can't cross it?

*brain explodes*

It will prove to be correct. I'm certain of it.

We're only slightly under-performing. The fact of the matter is we just aren't very good.

a competent manager will make us canter to 6th (as I don't think anyone outside of manu, chelsea, arsenal, man city or spurs have a better sqaud than we do) but I conceed it will take money to make us top 4.

As I say though, it doesn't exactly look like a dressing room...
[/quote]

i though it was meant to be the team hotel. in any case those videos on the uefa website where hodgson draws things and writes some players names can be used as a comparison for handwriting.

if you don't mind i'll leave it to you and get back to me with confirmation. thank you kindly.

Guys, if it is real you have to consider that no manager would try to compress the totality of his tactics on to a whiteboard.
First because it would be very hard to read, and second because there would be little point given that they have worked on this all week/season.
He obviously just uses the whiteboard for going over some main talking points before the game so it will be fresh in the players minds.

(Yes I want Hodgson sacked)

here it is. if you pause that at 1m 06s it has his writing. look at the letter G in particular. compare it to the way the letter G is written in leaked photo http://twitpic.com/3fne5d

it looks pretty damning to me

What were people expecting to see written on it anyway ?

To be honest, I'd thought I'd see a blank sheet of paper.

I was trying to find that and couldn't remember where it was from. Good work.

thank you. if you look at the way the D's are written too they are identical. im afraid to have to tell you the flipchart is genuine. and roy hodgson is the most fucking clueless dumb fuck of a manager. jesus fucking christ it beggars belief that a top level manager is capable of that.

seriously he stood up in front of two world cup winners and wrote that down. fucking hell not even i thought he was that big of an embarrassment.

As has been mentioned earlier Dantes, pre-match flipboard instructions are always succint and reminders. the detailed tactical work should have already been done on the training ground.

Believe me, I'm under no illusion as to the fucking paucity of what probably happens on the training pitch during the week, but there's no point going mental over what's detailed on a flipboard prior to a game.

I'd be more interested to see what he does and says monday-friday in training.

I suppose for the thousands of pounds a week he's getting paid and his decades in top-class football management, you just expect something a bit more subtle than the kind of stuff most pub-team coaches would come up with.

And *telling* players to be 'reliable and consistent' or 'mentally and physically strong' is just utterly meaningless and pointless. It's like telling them to 'be good at football' or 'score lots of goals'.
