We all want change.

Most people would love to see Mourinho here, with plenty of money to spend.
But what of the other options?

Are you desperate enough to want Benitez gone that you'd take his exit AHEAD of new ownership & investment?
Are you so sick of him that even with cash to spend this summer, the thought of Benitez still in charge fills you with dismay?

Vote now

I voted for option 2, but i'd be happy enough with option 4 as well (if it meant a top class replacement was likely).

Can you add more options dependent on different types of new owners?

Only a suggestion like.

New manager, new owners is by far the most attractive option right now.

i wanted to vote for Benitez to stay..

As a person i find him extremely dedicated and respectful to the cause... However, im sick of watching boring robotic football and seeing players fail who could quite easily succeed under a different management style.

Similar to my feelings with Houllier.. loved him as a person but the style he played made my eyes bleed.

but every now and then you get fantastic football (tail end of last season) so you know he has it in him.

Voting for the first option is obviously insane, but I'm not doing it AGAIN.

this poll's worse than the first one!

new manager and new owners isn't hobson's choice, it's best case scenario.

That's the most galling part of his tenure though Neil.

The way in which Rafa has again reverted to type this year (two defensive midfielders in Lucas and Masher) having seemingly finally acknowledged the need to go out and win games last year, is just a complete mindfuck. He'll simply never go a whole season on the front foot; Either a dip in form prompts Rafa to keep it tight and defensive, or if we lead he pack he wants to protect what slender lead we have.

I fear we'll never win the league under Rafa and that means he has to go. He's an excellent manager but just doesn't fit our (or our league's) requirements.

🙁

The best by far is new owners and new manager

I would be happy to accept new owners and Benitez as manager assuming that they gave him money. He MIGHT be better with more money to spend and if not at least I doubt they would give him as many chances to fuck up and he would presumably leave behind a better squad!

No new owners and a new manager would be next best option as I am now convinced that Benitez can't so the business with the current set up. Maybe someone else could

No new manager, no new owners is not desirable at all. We're shit now so who on earth would want things to stay like that?

I wouldn't sacrifice Benitez if it meant sticking with the current owners.
As discussed elsewhere. If new owners came in and believed in Rafa and gave him circa 100m to spend (and preferably said he could only spend it on 5 players max) I'd be happy to back him next year.
Ideally new owners with a new manager, of the caliber of Jose, Fabio obv.
And much as it pains me to say it, the worst case scenario for the club is new manager, same owners. That would be a disaster.

I'd be happy with option 2, simply because I think Rafa would make us an instant challenger if he could add several quality players to the squad without having to sell other squadies to fund this.

But if we were to continue in the same vein, having to sell to buy each season, I wouldn't be as confident, and it'd be whether we can bring in someone else who can manage with the relative constrictions that we currently have. Basically we're not going to win the league without a good level of investment in the playing squad, and if its not coming soon, then we might aswell bring in a manager who's suited to the wheeling and dealing thing and get 'em playing some good football...No not Harry Redknapp!

I want new owners .. if they decide to keep Rafa (ostensibly against his will) and force him to choose between staying on under new owners with a decent transfer budget, or resigning and leaving behind his golden handshake then so be it, he is still a cracking manager, just an anal head-case.
