So I'm looking for a bit of help with current songs for the city game.

I've been going to about 6-7 home games a year for the past few years but normally they're the smaller teams and the atmosphere's a little quiet. There's a few bursts of fields of anfield road which I can join in but then I can't really make out the others.

My amazing wife got me tix for this game (in the bit where they give you lunch beforehand!) and I think it's going to be nothing like a game I've been to before except Istanbul of course!

I want to make sure I'm well prepared and that I can't even speak on Monday morning. So.....what are the songs I should know so I can do my bit for the 90 mins? My current list is: YNWA, fields of anfield road, the Suarez one obv, bits of Stevie g's, Istanbul. Any others going to get an airing on Sunday?

Cheers guys

Main ones at the moment are the 'we are liverpool" the Brendan Rogers song and the Bill Shankly said to Bob Paisley one.

YouTube them.

Showmethefootball puts up loads on YouTube. Check him out.

Hopefully you'll be singing the Suarez song a few times Sunday

If you're in the seats that come with a corporate lunch, you're not likely to be in a particularly vocal area of the ground, so you may be singing alone *

* says the man who hasn't been a regular since 1998, so maybe times have changed ...

I believe there are packages which include meals and seats in "regular" sections of the ground (e.g. Anfield road or regular Centenary stand seats).

There are, there's even some corporate tickets with a table & meal beforehand in the main stand!

Tbh I think large areas of the ground will be singing every home game now, not quite as loudly, but singing nevertheless.

I went to Liverpool Utd in the fa cup in 06 with a package and the seats were amazing pict side edge of the area Anfield road in.
Got on the Telly loads especially for YNWA at the start. My phone was buzzing the whole way through with calls and texts from home

Nope. I'm teaching the wife the songs too.

And for this game I would be fine being the only voice in the whole ground!

Suarez - Just can't get enough is often heard throughout (from the arm chair)

Hey @Comical Aly - This little ditty has been getting a good airing in the Kop recently. Sing it loud and proud!

Studge Studge where ever you may be
You're a part of the red family
And we love your dance and all of your goals
And we know you'll score a fuck load of those.

🙂

The lads on the Kop singing that shite need to take a good hard look at themselves.
As does the amateur who penned the ditty😉

Sorry mate but I've never heard that song in my life! What Spion Kop are you on? The one in South Africa?

Hmm. Thanks.

I might give that one a miss.

The guardian is reporting tickets are going for £5k a pair so if anyone wants to come with me for £2.5k, the mrs said she'll go shopping. Beers would be on me of course.

And the Chelsea song that uses that drives me mad. "Care free wherever we may be...." . No they're fucking not. They'd kick the shit out of mother Teresa if she looked at them he wrong way. Every time I've been to Stamford bridge I've genuinely thought they are the nastiest fans on the planet.

You've clearly never been to West Ham. Or Rome!
