Help me cyclists..

How much is a decent helmet?

OK now I have approx a grand but need a half decent helmet too.

Basically I have always had off road bikes and now I would like something which I can do a lot of miles on the road but also down canal paths, footpaths etc..

Thanks Jon. Do I have to go to the shop to get the right size bike? Or can I just make the seat higher? Ideally I would like to just order the bike from the net.

I am 5 foot 11

Is there huge difference between a £1000 hybrid and say a £600 hybrid??

Help me brother.

Yes mate. The gearset/chainrings etc are massively different.
I'll check the site when it works and get back atcha.

It does not have to be that evans place. i just know they are involved with the work/cycle thing.

Many thanks Andy.

If you can think of any must have extras like pump, bottle thing etc that would also help. No rush like. Just when u get 5 mins.

Oncy - have you got one of those streamlined helmets and all-in-one super hero lycra jump suits an' ting ?

My Scouse mate in Scouseland has.

If you're spending a grand in a shop on a bike, they'd throw in all that extra pumps, bottles, gloves, etc stuff free with the bike. If you asked of course.

But not sure if you're buying online or not.

Most Raleigh franchise shops fo cycle to work etc. Then you'll get a willier or giant with nice stuff hanging off it for a grand.

Unless you really have to shop a halfords, don't think you have to buy there. Boardman stuff is amazing value for money if you're not too brand snob.

Ryan, it's so popular they don't give much away free any more.
