Just been told that Harry Redknapp may be about to get the boot at spurs and get nicked for Fraud/Tax evasion .

Anyone else heard anything?

Why would they sack him for that? He's been brilliant for Spurs - they should just pay what he owes the revenue and keep him.

I can't believe it. Arry. Our Arry. Sacked? It don't bear thinking abaht!

You crinkle-faced smudge-nosed buffoon! It was only a matter of time. He bought too many foreigners, killed and murdered his midfielders, ignored the tell-tale body language of his top players and took bungs like they were blueberries!

Sometimes I wonder if you care about London at all!

Oh, pass the whelks!

Paddy Power has stopped taking bets on him going. So he's safe.

Doesn't it mean the opposite?

Er, seeing as they've twice stopped taking bets on Benitez being sacked...no.
ok, it can mean he's absolutely safe or definitely on his way.

er....we needed paddy power to confirm that?

Wonder will be able to get Crouch and Defoe to come with to the cell, he brings them everywhere else he goes.

Sol's another. 'Arry might not want to be in a cell with him, mind you.
Sol might 'go down' a storm with some of the other inmates though.

Would make my season. I hate him and I hate Spurs. Scumbags.

I thought hate was bad, and we should all love each other?

Did you read those quotes from 'Arry sneering at Tevez for respecting Hammers fans? His mates in the press encourage this image of him as a good ol' London boy who is a football romantic, but he's a hard old pro who couldn't give a monkey's about anything but himself, which he showed with his Southampton/Pompey moves. I don't know how he's got away with it for so long.

Haha, LR is an internet persona, I ca say what I want now.

Anyway, my 'hate' is within the context of football, I would never wish real ill on any footballer.

He may be doing the former for all I know, doc, but the latter I'm not so sure about.

Harry Redknapp has denied he is to leave Tottenham despite speculation he could become the first Premier League boss to lose his job this season.

Bookmakers slashed the odds on the Spurs manager departing White Hart Lane from 50-1 to evens at one point.

But Redknapp, who has guided Tottenham to their best start to a season for 50 years, said: "I'm definitely not leaving. It's absolute nonsense.

"I couldn't be happier. I love it here and I have no intention of leaving."

Graham Sharpe from bookmakers William Hill said: "It is probably a bandwagon effect as usual, based on unsubstantiated gossip.

"But in volatile markets of this nature you can't afford to take a chance and we are being inundated with calls from punters wanting to bet that Harry will be the first to go."

Redknapp left Portsmouth to join the London club in October 2008 after Spurs sacked Juande Ramos.

Spurs have won five of their first seven Premier League games this season and are fourth in the table.

Think about it - Spurs are hardly underpaying tax on his salary , which means it must be money he's making on the side.

Harry's current assistant manager is Kevin Bond, the Kevin Bond that was caught on camera by the BBC discussing illegal payments for setting up transfer deals.

It looks like it a whisper was leaked by bookies to create a market though, doesn't it ?

Talking about dodgy deals, this barcode business sounds especially barmy:

An extract from the independent arbitration panel's verdict on Kevin Keegan's constructive dismissal from Newcastle United reveals how his relationship with the then director of football Dennis Wise broke down over the signing of Ignacio González. Wise, according to the verdict, contacted Keegan to recommend González on 30 August, and pushed ahead with signing the player despite strong objections from the manager.

"Mr Wise telephoned Mr Keegan and told him that he had a great player for the club to sign, namely Ignacio González, and that he should look him up," read the statement from the arbitration panel. "Mr Keegan tried to locate him on the internet but could find no reference to him. Mr Wise told him that he had been on loan at Monaco but having checked out the details, Mr Keegan was unimpressed and told Mr Wise that he did not think the player was good enough.

"Mr Wise then told him that the player was on YouTube and that Mr Keegan could look him up there, but he found that the clips were of poor quality and provided no proper basis for signing a player to a Premier League club. Moreover, no one at the club had ever seen him play.

"However, notwithstanding that he made it clear not only to Mr Wise but also to Mr Jimenez and to Mr Ashley that he very strongly objected to the signing of Mr González [he was to be signed on loan with an option to purchase], the club proceeded with the deal and the transfer was concluded the following day, on 31 August 2008.

"The club did so, according to its witnesses who gave evidence before us, because it was in the club's commercial interests to do so. It was what the club described as a 'commercial deal' by which the club meant a deal which was in the commercial interests of the club.

"The 'commercial interests', according to the club, were that the signing of the player on loan would be a 'favour' to two influential South American agents who would look favourably on the club in the future.

"The loan deal cost the club nearly £1m in wages for a player who was not expected to play for the first team but no payment was made by the club to the agents in respect of the deal."

I read that yesterday.

It's very strange isn't it ? You could say it's proof that agents are far too powerful in football.

Keegan doesn't strike me as computer literate. I bet he thought You Tube was some sort of lavatory cleaner.

Sounds as though Newcastle deserve what they get in life doesn't it?
What a fcuking shambles... ;D
