Thanksgiving has become one of my favourite holidays over the years. A true national holiday, secular, family oriented, and above all, wonderfully food oriented. Every family has their own traditions of the foods they cook, but there are also regional and national models, and its one of the only times that people unintentionally make an effort to eat in season recipes.
To the small number of US posters, hope you are enjoying your day off. I'm going to be drinking the braggot I brewed as well as a bunch of my friend's home brewed ale. Usually I end up cooking a multi course feast, but I'm leaving it up to our friends this year, and making his pregnant wife the chocolate pie she's been fiending for.
