Some folks said he was referring to Hodgson. I think it was more likely Torres...

He looked sharp yesterday, it's only a matter of time until he starts scoring them.

For what its worth, name me a single Chelsea forward who's torn things up since january? None of them have; alas torres will unfortunately come good for them.

If by some fluke he helps them take the title off ManUre we'll be quits as far as I'm concerned, especially since I reckon we're stronger overall now with Not So Li'l Luis and Andy Carroll ready to rumble next season.

I'm not so sure. He's still a wonderful player but I don't think he'll reach the heights of his best seasons for us because the team will never be set up around him in the same way. He'll score a few goals for them but not at the same rate as for us.

He'll probably win stuff though, especially if Abramovich opens his wallet again this summer.

Of course no doubting that, he's a top player and will be scoring sooner rather than later, and I agree he looked sharp yesterday. But what I mean is I'm glad him sulking and the constant threat of 'oh we need to keep Torres happy' is no longer our problem.

Yeah i'd agree with that, over the past 18 months the con's definitely outweighed the pro's.

Yep. He'll start scoring no doubt, but I think we're indeed in a much healthier position now that that threat is no longer there.
Unfortunately for us, it looks like we have another Spaniard to keep happy now. Let's hope we manage to replace him too if/when he leaves.

Like you I'd rather we didn't have to, but if we do I'm confident we'll manage it. There's an optimism and a momentum about us now that the King is back which I'm certain will carry us through any blips.
