So I needed to take my 2014 C220 Merc in for an MOT last week. It's first one. I took it into the Kwik Fit in town and it passed but there was a bunch of advisory notes on the feedback form and it was recommended I also got it fully serviced. Tyres, brakes etc all needed sorting apparently - I said I would think about it. Anyway I did and figured why not (you can probably tell I'm not that clued up when it comes to cars) So anyway I booked it into a Halfords as it was right next door to my gym for a full service and the results that came back were even worse! New brakes, three new tyres, new battery - All in nearly £1000 worth of stuff + Labour.
Anyway I'm pretty good at smelling a rat as the two didn't tally up so I paid the standard service without any of the extras. The car was as tight as drum and drives beautifully so I figured something was rotten in Denmark. I thought fuck it I'm calling Mercedes direct and get a third opinion. They were sound and said they would have a look at it for free yesterday afternoon. Sure enough there was fuck all wrong it! Not only that but the full Halfords service I paid for was not even done properly (according to the Merc mechanic) What cunts!
I realise I'm a bit clueless when it comes to these things and you all probably knew they were cunts but in case you didn't now you do.
