Judging by preseason games the guy offers a real goal threat, his passing may be not be as accurate as Hendersons but he is faster and offers us an aerial threat.
I think he needs to start more with maybe Henderson dropping to the bench, what do you think?

It doesn't make sense to me.

Henderson is playing the sitting midfielder in a 433. He's not doing well but it's not because of lack of goal threat. The role doesn't require it. If Grujic I'd coming into the side it will be at the expense of Lallana or Wijnaldum.

Agree with that as far as it goes, but there's one aspect of Henderson's game which is actually looking decent at times and that's his distribution. My guess is Can will get a run in the deeper role when he's fit, but I'm not sure Henderson will drop out of the picture even then. Lallana's still lacking an end product too often but some of his build-up play has been good, so if it were up to me I'd be looking at dropping Wijnaldum for the moment.

Henderson is the captain unfortunately, so unless he's not fit, then forget about him not starting any games.

Do you honestly think klopp is the type of manager who wouldn't drop him just because he's captain? You're mistaking klopp with Rodgers.

While im not optimistic enough to think we will win the league....i'm quite happy with what i have seen so far, and i think we might win something this season.

No, I really dont. I think if he's fit, he plays, form or not. Unfortunately. Granted he might rotate for cup games against 2nd/3rd rate opposition, but for the premier league or big games, Henderson is starting if fit and that's that.
I'd rather have Grujic over him this season though, based on the very small amount I've seen of Grujic tbh. Then again, Henderson would be right down my pecking order for any slot in the team anyway.

So if he continues not offering up much as per the current state of play, and people like Can, Milner, Grujic, Wilnaldum etc start/keep playing well, you think you'll see the captain, fit, on the bench for say 5games at a time? lol

Im saying klopp will pick who he feels is best for the team regardless of who they are. Hence why sturridge got dropped. If hendo is playing it's because Klopp thinks he's the man for the job. Just because we may not agree with it doesn't mean he's being picked just because he's captain. It's foolish to even think that.

As Doc said - great game.

Hendo put me in my place, I thought he wasn't coming back from those injuries and although it was only one match .. that was almost the Hendo of old. And it wasn't against relegation fodder.

I vaguely recall that he is taking injections to get through games, and will do for the rest of his career. He probably just increased the dose, and next time he'll have to increase it again, and again. It's not sustainable.

This is a situation where I'd set up a fight club for him, so that he can build up his natural pain tolerance faster than he builds up his painkiller tolerance. The added bonus of that would be him becoming far more aggressive and scary on the pitch, rather than the timid girl he comes across as presently.

I can't believe we'd have signed him without satisfying ourselves about the medical situation though, especially given that he's a young player and must therefore have been seen as a long-term purchase.

Genetically cross Henderson with Flanagan? Closest thing to The Terminator I can think of - won't stop, can't be reasoned with, just an absolute killing machine.

You speak in jest, but eugenics will soon make economic sense with football clubs pissing away billions of dollars on transfer fees. Being able to design exactly what you want using off-the-shelf genes is the better way.
