I'm impressed. He is still young and raw, of course, but he has so many different tools - sheer size, burst of pace, low hard shot, passing range... He's been compared to Matic, but personally he reminds me more of Pogba so far - maybe somewhat less flashy, but similar range and variety of talents. We might have gotten an absolute bargain at £5.1M.

Not surprised at all. I saw him in 10+ games last season. I know how big talent he is. Yaya was great, Grujic will be even better in two three years time.

Were you watching Serbian league?

I started to look at it after we got linked with him.

Didnt know what to expect but have to say I was very impressed. Big strong lad with great technique and covered his share of ground aswell.

I can understand why they were so determined to get him. Seems a fantastic talent that maybe can have a decent impact already this season.

I like what I've seen but he's played against nobody of any consequence. Serbian league and non-league Tranmere and Fleetwood. A long long way to go. And Arn thinks he'll be better than YaYa was, in a couple of years ? Hahahaha !

Let's see him boss premiership midfields at places like West Ham before we do the group wank

He got a few kicks yesterday from admittedly bad challenges and he hobbled around after about the 3rd one, but only after getting on with it as he'd kept the ball and he still managed to produce a good cross. Better get used to it son.

Yeah, a decent performance against Fleetwood and the comparisons are being drawn to Yaya Toure and Pogba. That's getting carried away, even for SCM.

He looks a talent. The ability to shrug a player off, turn and then have a burst of skill and a trick to win a penalty was a lovely bit of play. Fingers crossed we've got a gem.

Yep, nice start, but want to see him do it consistently against a few bigger teams, still he looks like a player who's comfortable bringing the ball forward and beating players, something which we badly need in my opinion. Encouraging.

I laughed out loud when he just flattened a couple of their players. We've missed players like Matip and Gruijc

A 20 year old kid scoring on his debut. Dont think either of them were embarrassing. Nothing wrong with a bit of passion.

Yah - I'm in your boat, but that's the last time Ryan commented on a pre-season celebration of a goal by one of our kiddies ... Let's hope his curse doesn't work this time.

He played exactly the way I expected a top class prospect would against minnows like Fleetwood.

Yeah, I think we can only gauge it by the fact that he was head and shoulders above everyone out there, so his class did tell.

Cheyrou was insane in that game vs Lazio at Anfield though. Shame it ended with that game.

We played a team from a town named after a rock band - we should not draw any conclusion from this game. Anyways, why are we playing these minnow sides, is it to help them out?

He's getting launched straight into my fantasy team. With mane. I can't think of anyone else in our team to put in.
