If they have any sense whatsoever they'll default now before it gets any worse, seeing as it's pretty much inevitable anyway.
I think it's a testament to the honourable intentions of the IMF as well that as part of the original bailout Greece had to sign up for a multi-billion dollar deal to buy loads of arms off the French and the Germans.
Maybe it's so that when the proletariat are rioting in the streets they have a means of keeping them in check?
