Doesn't look like Klopp will get a decent pre season to work with the squad.

These following will probably miss half the pre season:

Keepers: (Not to worried there, neither is first choice)
Mignolet - Euro 2016
Ward - Euro 2016

Defenders: (all starters)
Clyne - Euro 2016
Lovren - Euro 2016
Sakho - Euro 2016
Skrtel - Euro 2016

Midfielders: (Only Milner and Allen are starters)
Henderson - Euro 2016
Lallana - Euro 2016
Milner - Euro 2016
Can - Euro 2016
Allen - Euro 2016
Coutinho - Copa America or Olympics
Teixeira - Olympics

Forwards: (Not sure if anyone of them will start)
Firmino - Copa America or Olympics
Sturridge - Euro 2016
Origi - Euro 2016
Benteke - Euro 2016

Looks like he will mostly be working with some our new signings, players returning from loan and some fringe players.

Moreno, Matip, Illori, Touré, Flanagan, Smith, Lucas, Grujic, Markovic, Ings, Ibe etc.

Didn't we come close the season after Euro 2008 when Spain bagged the title with Torres and our Spanish contingent the mainstay of the team? Utd pipped us to the title in the end after a few dodgy 1-0's towards season end.

Shouldn't really matter - affects everyone about the same way. We may actually have a little bit of an edge because we've got a manager who has been around here longer and the guys would have less to learn or adapt to in a shortened pre-season, whereas City will have a new manager, as will Chelsea, and maybe United as well by then.

Gotta' pull off the summer moves early and then hope that everyone comes back from the tournaments healthy.

Poo for every club with a lot of internationals.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) for us, a lot of those are likely to be on an early plane home.

Add that tournament years are notoriously difficult for bringing in players too, it's a ball ache. You've got to think about potential signings being away with their countries, the chance of them being tapped up by other teams, performances attracting more attention and increasing asking prices, etc.

Thankfully the Germans can only play one keeper at a time..

what about players like Matip that we agreed to sign or players on loan that could come back into contention.

Bottom of my first post, but anyway Matip plays for Cameroon so there's nothing going on for him.
Gruijic and Markovic Serbia. Not in the Euro's.
Balotelli won't be picked for Italy I think.
Jordan Williams has been in Wales senior squad but hasn't made an appearance yet.
Am I forgetting someone?

Matip's from Cameroon. That's not in Europe. Unless he plays in the Olympics as an over-age player.

As for the rest, nobody wants Balotelli back, and he won't make the Italy squad anyway, unless everyone gets injured.
Markovic isn't likely to play again this season anyway, and he's shite too.

Who else are you interested in? Luis Alberto?
