I'm sure he'll be wanting to figure out a way of getting at least 5 more seasons at the top level out of himself. I reckon he should try to become the central midfielder he thinks of himself as and become more of a Molby, that way he could continue to play for years and we could build the forward line ahead of him. If he's going to listen to anyone it will be Dalglish.
God knows if that's what either of them think but I know if I was in charge I'd be asking him to forget about thundering forward and taking every dead ball like the manager's kid would in Sunday league, and focus on the centre of the park, breaking up the opposition and distributing the ball. He's clearly extremely fit and could probably maintain a central role for a long time if he put his mind to it.
We'd be in the enviable position of having a DM that could actually pass, and it would take all the pressure off the attacking players. Likewise, when we played crap sides he could lessen the defensive work and get forward.
