God knows he was one of my most hated players ever, but he's a really good, balanced, honest pundit.

Fair play.

Yeah he knows his stuff. Was disgusted Sky employed him, but he's proved to be a very good pundit.

His analysis is spot on.

"Hi I'm Gary and I look like a rat."
Haha. I genuinely laughed at this. The wife is sitting across the room. The conversation went something like:

Me: *chuckle*
Mrs Mac: What?
Me: Just read something funny on 6 Crazy minutes.
Mrs Mac: What did it say?
Me: Ah, you wouldn't get it.
Mrs Mac: No, really what did it say?
Me: I'm Gary and I look like a rat.
Mrs Mac: *goes back to her Facebook chatting*

You should also tell her that someone on SCM, that you've never met, is still not happy with your new avatar.

You fecker.

I mentioned it before - when you hear him on Sky giving his thoughts - he really deserves the attention coz the guy speaks the most sense and comes accross more intelligent than any other guy on those panels. I hated him as a player, but I understand why Alex rated him so highly for United - he has a very good footballing brain, and doesn't get over excited or gives undue praise.

You do realise this is a LIVERPOOL forum?

I do - but it really amazes me how that man despite fielding for the most part of his reign quite average midfields - has managed to create PL winning teams and has always challenged consistently. I know he lives in fear each night worrying if LIVERPOOL rise from the ashes and win another title - and therefore hates us and lives in fear of us challenging again and tries to get our best players banned (a la Suarez) BUT he has won me over as an EXCEPTIONAL manager.

exceptional bully
Yes he is - but I sometimes wonder had our 'Spice Boys' been bullied into playing and giving it thier best back in the mid/late 90's, then it still maybe a case of the Mancs trying to catch us. Like it or not - he realizes that it takes that sort of atitude to get the best out of the team.

Right, once again (this is much harder than it should be). THIS. IS. A. L. I. V. E. R. P. O. O. L. FORUM.

That's why I am on here- I am a liverpool fc supporter but reserve the right to give praise to others when its due. That man - no matter what you think of him has produced teams that consistently challenge - he has a winning formula and a way of getting the best out of players. I sometimes think it would have been cheaper to just adopt his style rather spend millions each year trying to get new players/managers and establish a new system. The PL's greatest success story like it or not is Manchester United - I hate it - you hate it but we have to accept that its the reality.

There's praise and there's sounding like you're bumming the Scottish twat.
