I'm guessing most are not interested but for those that are, what do you make of his time at Real Madrid?

He's got 3 Champions League titles (with perhaps another on the way) to his name and got to make a decisive impact in at least one of the finals, which is pretty hard to argue with, but after all the excitement and hype surrounding him his time, it doesn't feel like he's really delivered.

It was always going to be problematic with Ronaldo playing his preferred position. With injuries and criticism / questions from all corners in Spain, is the idea of being a Real Madrid player more important to him than the reality?

Would be deliver more if he left or is injuries or whatever else the root cause?

Injuries the root cause. He was pretty much a core player until injuries castrated his appearance numbers. The fact RM have kept him up to now says a lot. Guess he'll try and stay another season and RM won't complain too much if he can get over his latest setback.

Yup, injuries really hurt him ... if he can stay healthy, he can still be a really good player but that's a big if.

True, but he never looked comfortable or quite at his best stuck out on the right.

Won't happen for obvious reasons, including wage, but would he fit the profile of adjuvant/fill-in to our Fab Three?

Talented, quick, experience at the top level and in big matches. But won't be playing every week due to his injury prevalence and a useful weapon off the bench.

Edit - could be backup to Robbo too. It's perfect!

Too injury-prone and seems to shirk the hard work which you can only get away with if you’re Ronaldo (either of them), Ronaldinho, Neymar or Messi.

Still can’t believe we almost got him during the time Redknapp had no clue what he had on his hands.
