Skysports.com understands Fulham are in talks to sign Liverpool youngsters Lauri Dalla Valle and Alex Kacaniklic.

The Reds duo are currently in London to have talks with the Cottagers over possible moves, where they will have medicals if personal terms can be agreed.

Striker Dalla Valle, 18, has been on the books at Anfield since January 2008 but the Finland Under-19 international has failed to break into the first-team squad.

Swedish left winger Alex Kacaniklic, meanwhile, arrived at Liverpool from Helsingborg in the summer of 2007 and has been fighting it out in the reserves.

Fulham were thought to be interested in Dalla Valle back in January, but a deal for the forward never materialised.

Cottagers boss Mark Hughes has targeted the youngsters as possible stars for the future, and former Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has allowed them to leave Anfield

Oh look! Another two of our 'seriously lads these two are fucking amazing' academy stars going to a shit club for naff all.
Gkmacca was a lying cunt.

Didn't Fulham want to sign LDV last season for a couple of million WHEN Hodgeson was their manager? Now he's willing to leave them go.

WTF?

Shouldn't that tell Hughes something 🙂

Didn't Mark Mc port something last season about G&H wanting to sell LDV and Rafa threatened to resign?

To be fair, Rafa threatened to resign every other week.

Only at the start of the season, at the end of the season he wouldn't have dared.

This is a mistake, particularly LDV.

What the fuck is this about?

WHy do we need to loan them out when we're clearly going to over-pay for Koncheky?

Wasn't everyone crying over that Buchtman bloke last year? Because he was supposedly good enough to step into our first team? Sold, sold again, disappeared into obscurity. Oh well.

I don't think it's quite the end of the world. I quite liked the look of Kaca when I first saw him play, however I would imagine Ince will be the preferred option going forward on the left flank. Then there is Silva as well who could be used on either flank. As for LDV, by all accounts he's struggled with the step up to reserves level, so perhaps he's not the superstar he was made out to be.

I can't imagine - or see the point in - Fulham taking them on loan, but that would probably be the preferred option from our point of view I guess. Is Brouwer still on our books? Maybe Elias could ask for him as well.

Why all the hysteria?
It's a loan deal.

Maybe the back-room staff have come to the conclusion that they aren't good enough?
I mean Dalle Valle is the same age as Pacheco and Ecclestone.

This isn't really a surprise considering what Mavinga said about Hodgson prioritizing English players.
Pacheco is of course the exception.

Theres no mention of it being a loan deal in the report?

None of our youths ever amount to anything. I'm not bothered about giving them away as part of the deal.

[/quote]Yep. Money! We has none! Shite youths? We has plenty.
Ldv and Kalacinicalicial instead of money works well.

LDV is similar to Nemeth...

Not particularly fast... not very big... long distance shooting isnt that great.

Both of them remind me a lot of Forsell... They arnt exactly Torres but they know where the net is and have a bit of trickery to open some space in the box.

Similar to that Lupoli lad that Arsenal used to have...

Its almost as though players like that simply dont have the right skills for the Premier League.

This is the easier thread to use though.

yeah, that sounds about right. the news is a bit disappointing, and kaca seemed to have a lot going for him as a winger, but neither of them could be considered among our more exciting prospects.

what really sticks in the throat more than anything is them being part of a deal to bring paul konchesky to anfield.

Roy Hodgson is hoping a deal for Fulham left-back Paul Konchesky will be completed in the coming days.

The deal may see Academy graduate Lauri Dalla Valle go the other way.

Asked if he expected things to be completed before the transfer window shuts on Tuesday, Hodgson said: "I hope so.

"One of our young players, a very talented young lad that Fulham have fancied for a long time, is going in the other direction and that's holding it up a little because he has to have a medical.

"I'm sincerely hoping it's just a technical hitch and that Paul will sign in the next couple of days."

Dalla Valle was linked to Fulham when Hodgson was in charge.

The gaffer added: "I didn't have a strong opinion on him one way or another but Malcolm Elias (from Fulham's academy) did. The lad's got the quality to go into a first-team contingent."

Can I take it that by his last sentence, Hodgson is saying "I dont rate him, its Malcolm Elias who does?" ???
