Rafa worked.
Kenny worked.
Gerard worked.
But Brendan just doesn't feel right. I shall call him Fudgie as that is his nickname and I like it.
Anyone calling him B-Rod is a worthless individual who needs the star spangled banner removing from their anus, and is in need of serious psychiatric help.
Anyone got any decent shouts for a nickname for our leader?

How did the whole Fudgie thing come about?

I thought people were talking about Hodgson when I first saw it.

Yeah, how about we call him Rodgers?

I'm already sick of the idiotic 'Fudgie', if for no other reason than the amount of very contrived and unfunny jokes/bits with that name in.

I assumed Fudgie was a play on Budgie at first, but it appears everywhere.

Is there more to it?

Anyway, this thread is pointless. We established what to call Mr Rodgers ages ago.

You can't get any decent songs with 'Brendan Rodgers' - that 'There's only one Brendan Rodgers' is awful (and, er, incorrect, as there must be lots of Brendan Rodgers). 'Fudgie' immediately lends itself to the tune of Amazing Grace, or the 'Dalglish' chant, so he'd love it. For that reason, I'm in - 'Fudgie' it must be!

Fudgie is his actual nickname and has been for years. It's not something that Liverpool fans have made up or contrived, just like it's not something we can decide to make go away.

Ok, so that's confirmed then.

Still, how many of us would like our school nickname to still be used today?

I think I will stick with Mr Rodgers

To the tune of Chirpy-Chirpy-Cheep-Cheep: Ticki-Tacki-Fudge-Fudge. It needs work, but it'll end up most effective.

I'm friends with a guy whose girlfriend (also my friend, I suppose) went to the same school as him.

Her big sister was in his class.

'twas this fella what tolded me 'bout the 'Fudgie" thing.

Oh, his girlfriend is a red.

When Rodgers got the job, she rang her sister, excitedly appaz. and said:

"Guess what ? Fudgie's manager of Liverpool !"

Does this person put the word 'hey' after every sentence hey?

I don't like Fudgie in truth. It reminds me of Woy's nickname name (Budgie) and I don't think he deserves to be associated with Uncle Woy.

Budgie! That was it. Yeah, its to close. He doesnt deserve to have a nickname so similar to Mr Facerub
