So after the bankers it's now freelancers/contractors who are the media's new target
I've been freelancing for 7 years now and granted I pay less % tax than permanent staff but of course I don't get any:
- holiday pay
- sick pay
- life/critical illness insurance
- paternity
- pension
- training
- child care vouchers or other benefits
Plus I have to find a new job or get extension every six months. Pay accountants and shit loads of business insurances. I Pay a lot in technical training to keep skills up as well.
Fuck you the media and fuck you Danny Alexander. Why try to stop small business and entrepreneurs at this time especially.
I hate the witch hunts in this country
I can only see their point with the BBC freelancers who have been there 20 years with almost job Security. They should be staff. .
