For all of you that are questioning Utds ability to attract the best

Oh for sure.

It's just frustrating and amazing in equal doses how powerful they are even at their weakest

One thing I have never doubted over the last year through the Moyes 'era' and our fall from the top is the ability of the club to whore itself out to the highest bidder.

The new Chevrolet deal kicks in this season which is an increase of £33m per season on the £20m that AON paid us. Plus they even managed to convince (con) AON to continue paying us £20m a season, but now just for the training kits and Carrington.

We are a long way from the best on the field at the moment but behind the scenes no one comes close in terms of marketing. We have an official sponsor for just about everything and we have multiple for some things as we are starting to split the deals by country and region.

I just hope they realize that without success on the field it will be near impossible to get deals of this size when the current ones start to expire in 5 or 6 years time.

Did anyone ever question them being able to bring in big sponsorship deals? if so they are mad.

Bringing in the best players will always be in question when they are out of the CL even with their ability to pay big wages, they have struggled at times with this even when they were in the CL and shitting trophies, e.g Lucas Moura, Ronaldinho, Fabregas and everyone else they went near last summer.

Same applies to probably every other club in England except maybe the London clubs to an extent.

They'd have to have a prolonged spell out of the European Cup for things to start making a dent, but even then - we're still insanely popular in the far east irrespective of the relative lack of success in recent times.

Man United's kit manufacturer.

One of SCM's more enthralling discussions for sure.
