We have debt of £37m and repayment of £2m. We've made a net outlay of £2m this transfer window and paid roy £7.5m. Roy (and this he needs to be thanked for) slimmed our squad in doing so reduced our wage bill.

Can any one guess - our we in the black now?
If so is Kenny gonna be able to spend around £45m-£50m net.

Surely Podge didn't get that much.

It was worth every penny.

For every new rule made there is a clever way to get past them.

In Chelsea, or City for that matters, case they need a huge income from somewhere which is not the owner. So it is not worse than the current owner set up his own media company which buys the tv rights (as they go back to the clubs soon) and distribute them around with a huge discount. Noone can demand that the media company is in black?? hence they can spend the money on the club.

There are always ways around these things; but to be honest it's irrelevant to us.

The fair play rules are supposed to be enforced by UEFA.

That's right, UEFA...and I'm sure in the grand scheme of corrupt sports authorities in the world UEFA ranks pretty high on that list.

So there's no point in worrying over what we can't do, we should just focus on ourselves.

What NESV is trying to do is get Liverpool running profitably again based on what sources we're capable of generating coupled with some investment rom the owners (hopefully). We're never going to be a rich man's Tinker Toy the way Chelsea and Citeh have become and if that means we're probably going to be less successful than them, tough.

This isnt my club because we've won everything under The Lying Rag; it's my club because it's probably one of the few global clubs which has struck a chord with fans from all over the world.

There still is a Liverpool Way, and if we're going to keep lamenting about Roman and Sheikh Mansour that's going to erode us far more than watching our best players leave.

To my mind, that's why we're hated by everyone from the media to rival fans to whatever; we're a special club of which there are very very few of.

Even once the Mancs overtake us and get 19, they'll still know that being the most successful club in England doesn equate to being the best, and we're not going to surrender that mantle without a fight.

They can keep calling us The History Channel, I dont care...why do you think they're so obsessed with us?

Because they know it's true.

Well said Avvy.

Football has lost it romance for most but we remain a fabled club steeped in tradition and success. We almost lost our soul but Kenny has redeemed us by re-instilling the values and principles that made us great.

Other clubs hate us because they wanna be us. Money can sometimes buy silverware but there is a greater satisfaction when achieving it "The Liverpool Way!"

I've seen this mentioned a few times on here, but never seen it confirmed. Is it definite?
