Ferguson believes Torres had only himself to blame for being sent off.
"Did he intend to dive? I thought he went down,'' said the Scot. "I think Jonny may have just caught him a little bit but he can either carry on running - which he could have done - but he chose to go down. He could have carried on and scored so I cannot understand it. It's his own fault.

On Valencia:
The United boss even took issue with Antonio Valencia's own booking for diving under pressure from John Obi Mikel.
"I thought that it got a bit nasty," he said. "The booking of Antonio, I can't quite understand, because he's right through. There's no reason for him to go down.
"He was definitely taken, and he's been booked for it, because it was Mikel, you see, and Mikel's already been booked. I think that's the reason the referee had to do that because he would've had to send Mikel off.''

Incidentally Chelsea have lodged an official complaint against Clattenburg for "innappropriate language" directed at two of their players
 
It's right up there with the 'why didn't Savile get caught' mystery: why do people still interview this slurring, often incoherent hooter heater, who thinks that Christian Bale plays left back for Spurs, and they don't seem to realise he's drunk.

The same Piara Powar who led a campaign to gewt Rangers done for sectarian chanting but ignored Celtic's chanting...cos he's married to...Asmah Mir, the Radio 5Live presenter and lifelong Celtic fan.

Slightly different, the ***facts*** were know straight away as Camoli had confirmed to ref what Luis had said, which what he was done for.
 
Fucking hell, here we go again. People claiming facts again even though it all actually boiled down to ones man word against anothers and the "balance of probabilities"


This is the Piara Power who shouts coconut, claims it's not racist and gets away with it when Rio Ferdinand gets fined £45k for the "choc ice" equivalent of the very same jibe.

Isn't he one of these self declared focus groups though? There was some bellend who used to pop up on radio to speak for the Victims of Crime trust or something and he was just a loony with no mates who'd stuck a website up and sent a few letters in. I reckon this has been repeated by this tosser.

Coconut maybe offensive but should never be termed as racist.

It would be similar to a term used by Americans (mostly?) when they say somebody is a "Uncle Tom".

I don't think it is the same. Terms like "Uncle Tom" and "House N****r" infer a subservience to white people which yes would be offensive to some people who it's aimed at. The terms "choc ice" and "coconut" are aimed at people with darker skin behaving in the way of white person and implying such behaviour is wrong.

So its a term that means that someone is behaving like a "white person" and is meant in a derogatory fashion. It also suggests that black / Asian people should stick together against "white people".

But its only offensive?

Putting aside whether or not it is racist or offensive, is it acceptable for the head of an Anti Racist organisation to be using such terms? Strangely enough Powar had plenty say about Suarez but little to say about what he said.
