Fat Frank Manager of Derby

Silly gamble by Derby and fat Frank. Derby have admitted that after failing in this years playoffs, they'll not have any money to spend this year really. So Frank is going to inherit a bang average squad, with no money, in a very difficult league where there's plenty of better teams next season. Derby overachieved this year to make the playoffs really.

Isn't he used to living in the richest parts of the country since he was a kid? Derby? He'll feel like he's gone on holiday to srebenica.

He turned down Ipswich yet agreed to manage Derby. I would've thought the opposite would have suited him better.

Ipswich is fucking bleak and irrespective of the purse strings being tightened at Derby , they have a better chance at promotion and he wouldn't have to live /commute into Ipswich

Besides, I was under the impression they decided against him rather than him , them?

No, he dropped out. But while I've no great interest in either club, I get the impression that Ipswich is a much nicer club, with a much more patient board, as well as fans. As for commuting, they're both shitholes, but isn't Ipswich quicker to London than Derby by about an hour? His missus works in London, which will probably be a factor. And the Derby owner has basically said he's not interested in spending this summer because of FFP. It's probably a negligible difference but I would have thought he'd get more time at Ipswich. It's the club that encouraged Ramsey and Robson.

I quite like Frank. I know I'm not meant to, but there it is.
Nowt wrong with that. Arguably one of the best attacking midfielders in premier league history, and seems an intelligent likeable bloke

I kinda of hope he does well, but this is left field, high profile enough that he fucks it up, he might not get another chance, but not enough backing to push them forward. He has to be a great coach to make this work, and not sure I ever saw that in him.
