I have just started the process of compiling a family tree. It seems to be a popular thing to do at the moment, in light of a number of TV programmes where celebrities research their family history.
Anyhow, on my Dad's side I have traced one line back to 1820, my great, great grandfather, who apparently married an English nurse named Thompson. I guess this means I am at least 1/16 English. I suppose it could be worse, it could be Welsh! 😉
So I was wondering if anyone else here has bothered with a family tree, and also if they have any hints and tips about compiling one.
