It was great to see us win Saturday, and playing well too. However, nice though the morale boost has been, I think Tottenham played into our hands in a way few other teams are going to. High defensive line, playing the ball around in danger areas ... they definitely gave us a helping hand.

Next team to pack their defence, will we be any better?

Having seen Leicester's defence recently I would say yes now we have an almost fully fit first team available. Tottenham did play into our hands, with no cover for the hapless Davies, which we exploited to perfection. However it was evident that the movement and speed of passing were much much better than the Hull and Swansea games and I think we are back on track.

I think with the long prep time between games and the return to fitness and form of our front 6 we will win most of our remaining games and finish 2nd.

No euro footy is massive

We have Mane.

It doesn't matter if they park the bus or not, we now have a different option than just sideways passing at snails pace for 90 minutes.

Maybe .... but I'll want a bit more evidence.
Yeh I get the guarded optimism, but the gap between us and spurs was big. And for most of the game. And, we played the way we haven't since December.
I like Can, but he just slows things down so much, and for me, should only ever play DM if he can nail that role. Leicester have three games before we play them and their morale is finished. They're at home, the pressure will be on them and they will be shitting a collective brick.

mane is back, and we needed him, so you know what that means? He'll get injured shortly (sorry lads).

We need a little more. AS the OP said, we need to beat the bus

Nah I'm not sold yet at all. We've had mane against packed defenses and struggled. Spurs game was never a game to be worried about.

We need to learn to break teams down who park the bus. We have lost too many such games without learning to unlock the defence. We have got to play a lot smarter and be more ruthless to exploit negative tactics.
