[article]French news outlet RMC Sport have got tongues flapping on both sides of the English channel on Wednesday posting an incredible rumour about Liverpool making a move for Radamel Falcao.

According to the report, Liverpool are preparing to offer Monaco £12m to get Falcao on loan for the 2104-15 season.

It’s further claimed that should Liverpool tie up the loan deal, the Reds would be aiming to structure a deal with Monaco to permanently sign Falcao for £31m million next summer.

RMC Sport carry a quote in their article from an unnamed source, saying “the club is aware of the strong interest from Liverpool but the offer has still not arrived at the offices of AS Monaco”.[/article]

The 2104 season, looks like we're still building for the future? Maybe by then we will be able to make infinite Falcao clones to score us goals?

Well this broke about 4 weeks ago? We're the slowest offer preparers' around.

Falcao worries me as he has long hair much like Carroll and Aquilani. Seriously though he is 28 coming back from a serious injury with a big transfer tag and wage. If we are going players of that level and status I would rather we try and get Reus. LTW, thanks for finally starting the thread.

cheers

Barrett - Falcao remains the preferred option, #LFC would be willing to put a £20m package to sign him on loan if his move to Real fails

Maybe we should all just assume that we have tried to sign Reus and were told to fuck off.

Not sure about this one. The injury he had normally takes 12 to 18 months to get over fully, just in time to hand him back to them.

I just don't think it's gonna happen. £12 million for a loan?
Rather ad £5 mill and get Balotelli.

20 million for a year seems terribly risky given his injury. I'd rather just buy Balotelli unless we're convinced Falcao can be fit and back to his best.

£20million must include his wages, and when his yearly wage is close to £10million, it seems a lot better.

20 million for a loan would be fucking lunacy, especially with his injury concerns. I've never been a fan, but I'd do the Mario deal every time before taking such a massive gamble with Falcao.

Er, or what Dmishra said....

It wouldn't be that stupid. £20mil also includes wages plus reports say we'd have an option to buy him for ~£30m next summer. This would actually be less risky than buying him for £40m now.

Still I'm firmly in the Mario camp too.

Maybe we get them both. I think if we get him and he does well then he is going off to madrid next season. That way we still have mario but the belgium kid is coming next year so all good.

Can you imagine playing Falcao/Ballotelli/Sturridge upfront lol be some goals in that. Not a lot of tracking back though I'd have thought.

Mors

My worry is we would have three players just standing up front waiting to be served.

With Coutinho behind to feed them all?

Like he couldn't do against Southampton ? I don't have the faith that people on here have with regards to Coutinho's feeding ability. He is too easily taken out of a game as was shown on Sunday.

He was indeed taken out, but then most of the squad were . Saints were well organised and solid and we barely had a sniff most of the game.

People raved about wanyama keeping him out of the game, I don't think it took much..
