In for him, if you believe some reports..

Not sure if its permanant... or a loan deal..

Reports in France claim Falcao might prefer to join the Reds instead of Chelsea, despite the fact we are in the Europa League next season

That cannot of been the real Falcao at UTD last season.. surely ?

No, everyone's shit in the first year post knee surgery. He'd be a decent risk to take on loan for a year.

My prediction is he'll be better not his old self, hit 10- 15 in the League if he plays enough and then whatever manager is in charge will try to take the credit for resurrecting his career

Kinda of what I was thinking... If he is over his injuries it could be a good calculated risk.. Assuming we can get him in on loan..

He is playing well for Colombia at the moment..

I know, but Ross said "everyone's shit" in their first season after knee surgery.

Which is absolute fucking shit.

Though recovering from an injury like that with some players there is always a danger of spurning on other injuries, during the recovery period

Falcao and Benteke require a different style of football than we play to get the best out of them, can't see this one myself. Might be the powers that be trying to get his Chelski deal over the line.
Think we did sniff around him last summer though?
Paying him 280k a week can get to fuck too.

Is there a real shortage of strikers? Us and Chelsea have both been linked with Benteke and Falcao, and that's about it as far as strikers go.

I guess the main difference is they want one of them as back up, we want one of them as the main man.

The only way you are going to get the best out of Falcao..

Is play him into form.. (if he is injury free)

A player of that class doesn't become shite overnight..

Throw in Adrian Peterson there too Ryan.

And take everything I say word for word.

At least Dreamy puts up a fight when he's shown up.

What is it with you knackers?

Look, we're all aware you moved to Australia because your racism was more acceptable there.

What's to fight? I could list the hundreds of players that are shit for a year -like Lucas and Skrtel - after cruciate ligament injuries.

There will always be exceptions, but Falcao clearly wasn't one of them. So you're left to decide whether he's worth a risk next year - and if you look at the numbers you'd have to think he'll rebound somewhat. It might be the case he's totally done, particulalry if he just never got back training fully (and /or is three years older as it was alleged)

At the end of the day, it's worth a punt for one year if nothing better is found this summer
