What an absolute superstar he is.

22 years old. Captain of one of the biggest teams in the world.

If Aquilani turned out to be half the player he is, I'd be well happy.

He's brilliant.

Who were the fucking clowns on here recently who claimed he wasn't all that?

He reminds of young Paul Scholes.

If he moved to Barcelona, Arsenal would be half the team. He is so much more to Arsenal than Alonso was to us.

I was thinking the other day after watching Ramsey pulling the strings against our reserves that, he could replace Cesc eventually.

I was wrong.

He's a far better player now than Scholes was at that age in my opinion.

Big call Ryan.

No he isn't.

Yes he is.

Scholes wasn't even a United regular until the age of 22/23. He wasn't an England International until the age of 23 either.

Fabregas made his Arsenal debut at 16, made 50 appearances in one season at the age of 18, was made Captain at the age of 21, and has been playing for Spain since he was 19. He's got close to 50 caps for them too, and he's only 22.

We can carry this on, but I'm right.

You're right Ryan, people can never agree on footballers. Kinda like the eternal Pele vs Maradonna argument.

Ha. We'll agree to differ.

Ps no he isn't.

You've put forward a pretty convincing argument alright.

At that age no it's not.

At 26/27/28 it may be different.

Very true, Butt was often picked ahead of him.

x2. He's fucking tremendous.

If it wasnt for Giggs he'd be a shoe in for player of the season this year.
9 assists in the league already. Dayum!

Can you use assist statistic as a parameter to measure his creativity as a player though Herr?

🙂
Yes. Because I (unlike Rosco) see the creation of a goal as vital to the goal itself being scored.

If Aquilani manages to play half the amount of games as Fabregas I'll be well happy.

But yeh he's a class player, a joy to watch. If I could have choosen any player in the premier league to fill Alonso's boots it would have been a no brainer and picked Fabregas.

Tough argument on the Scholes thing. Scholes was unbelievable back when he was that age too.
Yeah but he was English. Objectivity goes out the window.

RVP and Berbacunt topped the assists charts last season with 9 each. Fabregas has that already aand it's only november. Amazing.

On a side note, Ramsey is an excellent player too.

I would and see what Torres does before making that call. Not saying your wrong but if Nando gets fit and Aki turns it on he could rack up a total.

Id say hes probably better than Scholes was at 22, simply because he has done so much already at such a freakishly young age... Hell, hes probably better than Zidane was at 22!

It will be interesting to see how good he gets when hes in his mid to late 20's, it would be some feet to get to Zidanes level, hes the most graceful player I ever had the joy to watch!

He's definitely better than Scholes and numerous other top class players at the same age.

Some players develop early because of their attitude, maturity & intelligence, others because they've had a lot of experience from a young age, and others because they're outrageously talented.

Fabregas ticks all of them.
