Brilliant display from the youth team last night. Sinclair, Dunn and Ibe looked excellent, and the whole team played a superb pressing and possession game. Quick passing, great movement, lethal attack.
Looks good for the future. Swindon were pretty poor but it looks like we have another good bunch coming through.

Would be funny if we get to the final and Sterling brought on to help the team.

Fuck that, it's disrespectful to the kids that got themselves there.
Remember the League quarter final away against Tottenham?

Dudek, Warnock, Henchoz, Whitbread, Raven, Potter, Biscan, Diao, Nunez, Mellor, Pongolle

All gone in the semi final.

Not entirely comparable, I know. But hey...whatever it takes to win.

Interesting times. Kelly established. Sterling, Wisdom and Suso have made the step up. Pacheco a smaller step. It seems that it will just be a matter of time before Ibe and McLaughlin join them. Sinclair, Dunn also strong possibilities. Then there are players like Sama, Robinson, Flanagan, Ngoo, Yesil, Morgan who all appear to have the potential to step up. Obviously there's the unpredictability of youth development, but we appear to have an excellent group coming through. I like the club's policy over recent years, and it does seem to be coming to fruition.
Despite all the bad decisions in recent times, this is something we've got right. If we can continue in this direction, and stop the flow of bad transfers, then there should be better times ahead.

When we played City in the final, Richards and Sturridge played in the second leg in Anfield and beat us 2-0. Luckily we were 3-0 up from the first leg. Richards was a beast back then even. Not sure is they had played the previous rounds with City.

I also remember a few years later when we played Arsenal and being really impressed by Jack Whilshire. He played in an advanced role and kept cutting in from the right onto his left foot. He was lethal that day.

Petersen, Sinclair, Dunn and McLoughlin all looking very accomplished at that level. Bright future!

Lussey is another decent young player. He didn't have an eye-catching role in this game but he's been improving for a while now and is worth monitoring. Then there's Teixeira, who is another very exciting prospect.

Only those players between the age of 15 and 18 on 31 August of the current season are eligible to take part

So Sterling should be eligable, Robinson as well? Maybe Suso?

Fuck it, bring em on and let us demolish every team in the country. Man C did it against us, but they failed.

If Sturridge and Richards had played in both legs, we would have been fucked.
Mos def. I remember that game. Don't forget Michael Johnson. He's a joke now but he was the beez knees back then.

He's a bit of a porker these days by all accounts
