Although we're down to a game a week now, I think a few guys could do with a little rest to get themselves recharged for the final stretch of 10 league games (and maybe 2 FA Cup games).

Henderson probably could use another day off to rest that sore foot, while Skrtel is probably due a rest as well, as is Coutinho. Good opportunity to field and test Can at CM again (he was rather meh in that position against Besiktas), while also giving Williams a chance to build on his sole cup performance earlier in the season. Would be great if we could have another U18 / U21 on the bench (Canos / Sinclair / Wilson); Balotelli can have the weekend off in Sampdoria looking for a new place to prepare for next season.

I'd like to see this, with Toure captaining the team:

-------------------- Mignolet --------------------
----- Williams ---- Toure ---- Lovren -------
Lazar -------- Can ------ Allen ------ Moreno
-------- Lallana --------------- Sterling -------
-------------------- Sturridge -------------------

subs: Ward, Skrtel, Manquillo, Gerrard, Coutinho, Lambert, Canos / Sinclair / Wilson

I know people like to harp on about and such like - but it'll be 8 days off for players after this and momentum is equally important.

I'd imagine fitness coaches are conditioning the players to be at their peak physically - so unless they've identified someone specifically or someone's carrying a knock - I would be changing as little as possible.

Henderson - I can understand if he has a sore foot.

It might be a good game to bring Gerrard back, if he's fit again.

What Stevie said. Strongest team available .. for every match from now until the end of the season.

Putting prize money into perspective (double post from Random Shite) :

They've knocked out decent Stoke and Swansea sides in the last couple of rounds, so definitely not the team to be fielding a shite side against.

Still tempted to bench Sturridge despite being given ages to fully recover.
