Italy's Euro 2012 qualifier against Serbia in Genoa has been suspended after just seven minutes and looks set to be cancelled after the away support threw flares on to the pitch and into the home supporters' section.
Serbian supporters had fought with police outside the stadium and reportedly even attacked their own team's bus, causing the goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic to withdraw from the game before kick-off.
Inside the stadium, kick-off had to be delayed by 45 minutes after a group of Serbian fans began throwing objects onto the pitch and attempting to break down barriers between them and the pitch. They also unfurled a banner reading "Kosovo is Serbia".
