England team named. Ibe doesn't make it (he hasn't played for the U21s though, so not really a surprise). Good thing for us though.

Goalkeepers: Bettinelli, Bond, Butland.
Defenders: Chambers, Dier, Garbutt, Gibson, Jenkinson, Keane, Moore, Stones, Targett
Midfielders: Carroll, Chalobah, Forster-Caskey, Hughes, Lingard, Loftus-Cheek, Pritchard, Redmond, Ward-Prowse.
Forwards: Kane, Afobe, Bamford, Berahino, Ings, Woodrow.

Serbia and Germany are also in the tournament, but I think Markovic doesn't play for the U21s anymore so probably won't be called up. That leaves Can as our only player who will likely be at the tournament. The other teams are Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Portugal and Sweden, so of no concern to us.

Forster-Caskey is the one whom I've heard of the least. @Pesam ?

Luke Garbutt hasn't extended his contract with Everton and shouldn't be short of suitors.

I've seen us linked with Garbutt for a bit. What's the story with Everton allowing the contract to run till now? I assume he's been sterling on a new contract, but surely, the club should've decided to keep or sell him at least a year or more ago? Or did he just suddenly have a big jump in performance and they were surprised by it? Seems like there's some similarities to Flanagan for us.

Forster-Caskey being in the squad is the most shocking selection of all and that's amongst a very poor midfield selection in general. He was on loan at Oxford United (2nd Division) about 2 years ago and I got a good look at him and wasn't at all convinced. This season he has broken into the Brighton team and to me seems considerably out of his depth at Championship level. He's regularly substituted and Brighton tend to perform better once he's off the pitch. The fans seemed to have figured this out and he's not exactly their golden boy but they haven't quite turned against him yet.

He's not particularly good at anything but is okay on the ball, has a half decent shot and is energetic but basically even at Championship level he's a whole heap of Meh!
