On paper this is the most exciting round so far. Denmark and Portugal promises to be a ding donger, because Portugal have to come out and play, while Denmark are always full of talent and surprises, or so khl tells us.

And in the other game, Germany are delightful to watch playing the old enemy, Netherlands in what is likely to be a tense battle and rerun of the euro 88 final when holland took Ireland's place to beat Germany in der final

Predictions? Holland 2-0, and Denmark 2-1. I'm going for the unterhunts in this one myself.

Thoughts?

.... He played didn't he? Just did fuck all

Me too, I told all my friends, my Facebook friends, my family, my wife's family that he's the next zizou, the laudrup uf the 21st century, based on KHL's ringing endorsement. No pressure Christian

Two very interesting matches. Look forward to both. Denmark has the upper hand on Portugal after the qualifiers, and bendtner seem to have a tendency to score against them (4 in 4 matches). Denmark can more or less secure their next round spot, which is kind of a surprise. Good thing for us Norwegians to see them using our style to get there 🙂

The Netherlands has to be more ruthless in their selction to stand a chance here. De Jong and Van Bommel is a terible pairing, and they should sacrifies one of them for more creative forces. I would actually wreck van bommel, but Marwijck will not. His son in law will play. The names up front (AM and Strikers) are frightening, but not to balanced. Robben want to cut inside and score himself, Snejder is left a little cold out left, Van Persie wants to be involved in everything and all in all they couldn't find any rythm in the first game. They have to put their egos aside to break down Germany as a team, but I doubt they will manage that. Germany will win.

Yeah you can kinda see the Netherlands going out tonight. It'll be more interesting for the tournament if they progress though.

On Twitter last night I think someone said that the Dutch lined up in training with Kuyt at right back, VDV playing as a deep lying playmaker, and KJH starting up front with RVP out wide.

I think the German and Netherlands match will really show us what they're made out of.

I hope Erikson gets a game this time. I've been really looking forward to seeing him after all KHL's hype.
Come on, he's been doing his best to keep his prize-tag low so we'll have a chance.

Some people... .

I can hereby lay these rumours to rest. I'm not available for selection as I'm going to have a few beers during the early match.

Can I just add that in due time you friends, facebook-friends, family and your wifes family will all think of you as some kind of footballing oracle.

No worries.

I think we will see some goals in the first game today. Portugal created some decent chances against Germany and while Denmark defended well at times in their match with the Dutch, they also had their fair share of luck as the Netherlands created so many chances but just couldn't convert.

I think Ronaldo and Coentrao will be able to cause some havoc down the left against Rommedahl, Jacobsen, and Kjaer coming over to defend.

With that said, c'mon Denmark!!

The Netherlands chances were just half chances I think. Robben firing from long range, and Van Persie finishing from difficult angles. Agger and Kjær really did mans job defending, but with just a little bit more width and little bit more patience I think the Netherlands would have got much more out of the possesion they had. Somehow I think Portugal can manage that, cause the CM of Denmark was weak.

I guess a 2-1 or 3-1 win for Denmark is within reach. It is hard to predict against a team with Ronaldo and to some extent Nani, as they, on their day can cause havoc.

I do believe however that the Danes will control the game for large parts and as such keep Portugal quiet. Bendtner is odds on to score but if it's up to Krohn-Dehli again I'm good.

In the other game I actually reckon the Dutch will win. Sneijder was unplayable against the Danes and with a bitmore coolness and luck they'll be very difficult to keep at bay.

2-1 Denmark
3-2 Holland

Kvist been struggling to find form as has Eriksen but tonight, I believe the Danes will own the midfield. Mainly down to Portugal lacking real class in central.
