Looks a completely different player this season..

Has an assist or 3 in him.. and just loves getting forward.. I think he was clearly missed last week against Villa... He adds so much more to our game going forward...

His game has come on in leaps and bounds...

For the first time in years we have a solid Right Back and Left Back.. Let just hope they both stay injury free

Off topic.. JAR wtf has happened to him pretty poor imho.. Downing owned him yesterday..
 
Jar is finished and has been for a while.

Jose since young boys away has been nothing short of superb for the most part and I think has proved even his biggest doubters wrong. His 2 best qualities are his strength on the ball in defensive positions and his dribbling. He always seems to draw defenders to him freeing up space for Suarez and co. And you have to love the way he almost always muscles in on an attacker trying to get past him by getting between him and the ball and then just shielding it before turning away. Delighted for him as he took alot of stick from people earlier this season
 
He deserved that stick IMO, but he's playing as more of a wing-back now and it suits him. Kudos to Rodgers for making the change. Let's hope Enrique can keep it up.
 
I was possibly one of Enriques first and harshest critics, however his turn around since he came back from injury a month or two ago has been remarkable, so much so that he's one of the first names I want on my team sheet. I believe his change in physique (he's put on about two stone in muscle) and clearly Rodgers giving him a license and the confidence to attack non stop has benefited him astronomically, he's at his best when he's running diagonally towards the box, because of his size now defenders really struggle to top him and it often takes two or three of them, great stuff.
 
He still loses the ball often in dangerous positions. If he can cut it out he will be a great left back.
 
Joe Henry has been immense the last two months or so. I can't believe how good he has been going forward this season. Last year he was dross in attack, he would sprint to the corner flag, draw two defenders, and then spin in circles with the ball until someone took it off him.

You can't get on all I told you so when he was shite for ages, we did need a left back because he wasn't turning up. If we have to do with Enrique having bouts of shitness lasting months then we do need a new left back.

Are we even sure he is going to cut it at left back? Good games at left wing and left back against a Fulham side that didn't fancy attacking at all don't make him reliable just yet. He could be the left back for games we're expected to dominate and left wing for those where we expect pressure.

The guy basically played every game last season. I don't blame him for tiring towards the end of the season. I always knew he was class. Sure he makes mistakes, and so does Johnson but he's still top class imo.

Where did you get this 2 stone increase info?
If anything rumours from last season was that he was bulking up against the advice of the trainers, due completely to his vanity (whitened teeth, sun bed, plucked eye brows, etc), and it was working against him.
I can't believe for a second that he's gained two stones of muscle since then.

He was all over the place pre season too though, so that's four months to play himself back into the side, we can't have that every year. Credit to him though, he's been very good, especially at linking with Suarez.
 
Well I don't have his measurements and two stone was clearly making a point, not his actually weight gain, but he balked up a lot this season compared to last, people on here and commentators have commented on it, I don't understand why everyone is so sure he hasn't.

This. It's great to see. Suarez linked well with Bellamy, Maxi, Meireles and Kuyt (when played up front). We'd lost all of them by the time the season started unfortunately, with Meireles having been sold a summer earlier. Gerrard and Sterling also showed some good link-up play with Suarez yesterday, so hopefully we will be able to build on that.

Enrique though, is the person in the team who links best with Suarez at this point. They seem to have a great relationship too. Suarez loves pulling his ears during goal celebrations when Enrique scores or sets him up.

He's been like a new signing.

We could still do with another fullback though so I'd be surprised if the "we need a LB" folk have gone into hiding.

If the reports that Robinson is going on loan to Blackpool are true, then it leaves us really short. We've basically got two fit fullbacks and a young centre half trying to do a job there. Oh, and Downing.
