Four Liverpool players in the England squad eh? I'm working on the assumption this is the new Random Shite thread. It's got a decent title for it.

Goalkeepers Fraser Forster (Southampton), Joe Hart (Manchester City)

Defenders Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur)

Midfielders Ross Barkley (Everton), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Fabian Delph (Aston Villa), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), James Milner (Manchester City), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Andros Townsend (Tottenham Hotspur), Theo Walcott (Arsenal)

Forwards Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal)

Can't believe Townsend's still getting caps.

How is Phil Jagielka still getting into squads after his disastrous World Cup campaign? He defended like a pub player at times. An Everton fan in works thinks he's done too.

England have one half-decent CB I can think of, Cahill

Is there anyone else at all? Stones?

No clue, it's not like he is a big name playing at a glamorous club either. Odd.

It wont be long before England start stealing Irish players.

That's quite the defence

It really is, isn't it? And if you look to the U-21 side for some hope, then you get these guys below. Not too encouraging eh.

That squad is dire.

Not so dire. Rooney and Kane/Sturridge up front, Sterling and Lallana/Milner on the wings, Hendo and Carrick in the middle, the in-form Hart or Forster in goal. The defense looks a bit short on talent and star power compared to teams of the past, but with good organization they should be fine. Overall a pretty balanced blend of youth and experience. I don't see anything for English fans to complain about.

However Jagielka did defend like an amateur in Kyiv today. I don't think he's any good at this level anymore.
