Played as the right-side centre back for Germany U21 vs Ireland U21. I know it's just the U21s and just Ireland, but he was the total bossness in this clip. I'm expecting overflowing tributes of likes for sharing this clip of everlasting joy and wondrous happiness with you.

I lay claim as the creator of the terms:
- "Emre the Khan",
- "Emre the Canqueror",
- "Nirvana Can", and
- "Emre, Fit and Beautiful, Walker of Waters, Tamer of Fires, Bringer of Storms, Bloomer of Flowers, Father of Handsome Horses, The Beard Father of Swaggerballers".

...if he lives long enough. I suspect Can will adopt the strategy favoured by fellow sportsman Charles Barkley, the US basketball player: "My daughter's boyfriends? I figure if I kill the first one, word'll get out."

You've got your like, but your camera work is awful. Why not show the top halves of players on the far side of the pitch?

No idea about that; gotta ask MrBoyWunder that. His clips are usually really good so not sure why the top was clipped here. Maybe he intended the imperfection to further bring out the perfection of Can.

Sorry, just joking. Thanks for sharing, he is Bossness personified!

For some reason I keep associating him with Igor Biscan. Perhaps it's age taking its toll on my brain. Like it happens to old people in movies when they look at strangers and confuse them with someone from their past.

Emre the Cannibal eating Romania U-21s for lunch.

He really does have everything you want from a midfielder. Great defensively and offensively. Powerful in the air and on the ground. Very useful on the break. Great range of passing skills. Could be a bit more of a goal threat I suppose, but I am warming to Emre the more I see of him.

The Doc got there first ! Watch both his defensive and offensive play, couldn't you see this guy standing in for SG this season ?

He's looking unbelievable and a steal at the price we paid for. Of course, these are just performances against U-21 teams but the signs are really promising. I'd definitely like to see him given a few chances playing in place of Gerrard - maybe that will start happening in weekend league games after midweek CL matches, or during the usual December fixture logjam.

Listening to the (long, 1.5 hrs) podcast, with Graeme Kelly on there, today. He says that the training staff are none too happy with Can. Tends to do too much strolling around and lacks application. Not good, I hope he gets with the program because that won't be tolerated and he won't be rewarded with starts.
