Rodgers reckons he's out for 6 weeks with an ankle problem. Also said Joe Allen has a knee issue.
 
Lucas and Gerrard in midfield is going to be painful to watch. I'd rather just see what Rossiter can do.
 
I'd risk Gerrard Henderson and Lalllana (if fit to start). Could we see Coutinho players a little deeper than usual. He has played as part of the midfield three before hasn't he?

That's all IF Allen is also out.

Coutinho, Lallana, Suso, whatever. I actually reckon Markovic could play there too.

I suppose it's not possible to recall Teixeira from loan? He'd be ideal.
 
With Allen, Can, Sturridge all out, we can still do either of these combos, with some names swapped around. If you don't fancy Lucas and/or Borini in the matchday squad, just swap for Rossiter and/or some young striker (dunno - Dunn, Sinclair, Wilson, etc.). Bench is pretty raw / thin but at least the starting team should still be very good.

It'll be Allen because no one else is fit enough, he'll want to go in with a bit of stability after the International break, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Lallana make an early appearance in the game.
