Prefix for Poll Threads

I honestly think this guy is a better option right now than Roy Hodgson, do you agree?

I don't know who Elliott Gould is. I'd take Elliot Ness though at the moment.

I had to Google him, but once I saw his picture I realised he was in the Naked Gun 3 and a third (and other less illustrious work).

I can't believe some of you philistines don't know who he is!

Innit, wasn't he in The Munsters or The Addams Family?

I always like Eliot Gould. I don't think he'd be a good manager in truth. In his comic demeanour of a man resigned to life's woes he's actually a bit like a Hollywood version of Hodgson.

Al Pacino would have the makings of a fucking superb manager.

No way, Pacino is the classic good start manager, or the kind who's good for derbies. It's all shouty shouty shouty screamy screamy screamy rhetoric. Away at Wigan he'd be just as rubbish as Roy and the players would hate him.

I think you're underestimating his man management skills. His rhetorical skill would have Raheem walking out feeling like a giant. Half time team talks would convert lambs to lions. With a more deadpan and faintly threatening De Niro as his assistant we'd be on the track to league victory.

Raheem is so small that whenever he wears a pair of extra thick woolly socks he feels like a giant.

No way Doc, Gould would be my #1 but I'd have Gene Hackman before Pacino.

You're crazy with the Gould thing. He's no manager. I don't think he'd be the worst in the world (Woody Allen closely followed by Dustin Hoffman obviously) but he'd be mediocre. Hackman has the whole package though, good shout.
