This isn't the first time.

I was listening to a podcast today that talked about the trouble after Egypt beat the Algerians to progress to Italia 90.

Apparently there were riots after the game. Then at the dinner between the two teams afterwards someone got bottled and subsequently blinded.

Nice bunch of lads them Algerians.
 
This is right up there with the biggest rivalries in world football.... and perhaps the most violent rivalry at the international level.

I can't see Algeria losing this, but who knows what the fuck will happen given the atmosphere of leading up to and during the game.

Egypt must beat their arch enemies Algeria by 2 clear goals to advance to the World Cup.

After 2 mins, Amir Zaki puts Egypt 1-0 up.

After 95 mins (that's 5 mins into injury time), goal by Aboutreika.

Now they must play each other again in a play-off in Sudan! ... just gets better!
